The party wants to support low taxes and a welcoming environment for foreign digital businesses, encouraging investment, innovation, and international commerce.

The party wants domestic businesses to operate within a social-corporatist framework, bringing employers, workers, and the state together to coordinate economic priorities, working conditions, and social protections.
The party wants to divide the world into citizenship application regions, with a fair allocation of opportunities across those regions. It wants regional processing arrangements to prevent applications from high-volume regions from overwhelming the system or crowding out applicants from elsewhere. The party wants to promote a conservative social outlook, emphasizing family, community, tradition, and personal responsibility. It wants gay, bisexual, and lesbian people to be free to live their lives, subject to the same expectations of respectful public conduct as everyone else. Sexual orientation alone should not be treated as misconduct.

The party wants transgender people to be able to live openly in society. It nevertheless wants access to sex-separated facilities, including restrooms and changing rooms, to follow biological sex rather than gender identity.

The party wants to permit abortion when the pregnant person is a minor, when the pregnancy resulted from rape, when it threatens the pregnant person’s life, or when the child is diagnosed with a serious disability. Outside these circumstances, it wants abortion to be prohibited.

Gapla, officially the Federated States of Gapla (FSG) and co-officially the Gaplan Federation, is a country located in Southeast Europe, along the Danube. It borders Croatia to the west and shares a river border with Serbia to the east. A federation of two constituent states, its territory of Greater Danubia consists of former terra nullius resulting from the breakup of Yugoslavia. The country has more than 1,850 e-Residents, 93 of whom are citizens, and covers approximately 205 acres.

The Croatia–Serbia border dispute involving conflicting territorial claims along the Danube emerged following the breakup of Yugoslavia in the early 1990s. Croatia claims that the border should follow cadastral records from Yugoslavia, which defined internal administrative boundaries between its constituent republics. In contrast, Serbia claims that the border should follow the Danube's thalweg, a principle traditionally applied to international borders. The dispute intensified after Croatia's declaration of independence in 1991, with both countries inheriting conflicting interpretations of their international border. As a result of this dispute, five pockets of territory on the west bank of the Danube river were left unclaimed by both Croatia and Serbia, resulting in terra nullius. Gapla claims the pocket west of Apatin as its constituent state of Cristus, Pocket 2 as its constituent state of Gaplastovia, and the Fluvial Territory, and is the only legitimate claimant to these territories, following the de facto dissolution of Ongal and the Gapla's subsequent claim.

Gapla's government is comprised of a judicial branch and federal branch (comprising of a combined legislature and an executive). Within the executive, six members are elected. Governors and deputy governors are elected for each of the two constituent states, and a president and deputy president are elected for the entire country. The remaining fourteen out of twenty members of the National Assembly are elected through party-list proportional representation in annual elections.

In an effort initiated in 2023, the country renounced its status as a traditional micronation and changed its primary goal to become a settled country. In early 2024, the constitutional Gaplan government became inoperative as the Provisional Government took control of the country's government to expedite the effort.

Etymology
The etymology of the name "Gapla" is largely unknown. The name—credited to Wyatt Baek—was first used for the Republic of Gapla, a predecessor state of modern Gapla and a constituent republic of Gapla-Phoenix. However, Baek claims that the name predated Gapla-Phoenix, but also claims that he does not remember the name's etymology. Some Gaplan historians claim that Baek deliberately chooses not to reveal the name's etymology, a claim he has repeatedly denied.

A common hypothesis is that the name "Gapla" originated from a portmanteau of "Gap" and "LA" (i.e., the "gap" in the United States near the city of Los Angeles), as pre-Danubian Gapla claimed territory near Los Angeles. However, this hypothesis has been widely discredited by Gaplan historians as unlikely.

Upon restoration in 2019, the country's official name was originally "Principality of Gapla," the official name was changed to the current name a few months later.
List of political parties in Gapla
Gapla has a competitive multi-party system within a provisional government. It is currently a federal parliamentary republic with an executive presidency under a provisional government. Governance is localized in states and territories.

In theory, a directly elected president leads the executive and appoints a cabinet, the unicameral National Assembly (led by the Speaker) is the legislature, and the Supreme Court (led by the chief justice) is the judiciary, although the National Assembly may establish lower courts. The president also issues a variety of orders, awards, and honorary titles, including the Order of the Majestic Danube. Justices of the Supreme Court are appointed by the president and serve life tenure.

The executive has ten ministries, led by ministers appointed by the president. Some ministries are subdivided into offices, led by officers appointed by ministers, and some offices are in turn divided into suboffices, led by subofficers appointed by officers. In addition, independent bureaus within the executive may be created by the president.

A ceremonial monarchy existed primarily to raise funds for Gapla, but was abolished in 2026.

However, following the Danubian reformations in 2023, Gapla has been under an unelected provisional government officially known as the Council of Ministers. New members are selected through a competitive admissions process including an online application form, interview, and standardized testing. Current members, known as Provisional Governors, vote on the admission of applicants.
Administrative divisions
Gapla is a federation of two constituent states (Gaplastovia and Cristus), which exercise some self-governance, and two territories (Brighton Beach and the Fluvial Territory), which are governed from the federal capital of Gaplastovia and are part of a state.

Each state is governed by a governor and each territory is governed by an administrator appointed by the President of Gapla.
Greater Danubia

Gapla's territory, known as Greater Danubia, consists of two mostly forested pieces of territory along the Danube commonly known as "Pocket 2" and the pocket west of Apatin. The state of Cristus encompasses the entirely forested pocket west of Apatin, "Pocket 2" is shared between the state of Gaplastovia (the forested part) and the territory of Brighton Beach (the sandy part). Gapla also claims the Fluvian Territory, an unclaimed piece of internal waters along the Danube, under terra nullius.

While Gapla claims the area from its land to the Danube's thalweg as well as the Fluvian Territory as part of its internal waters, it allows free navigation along the Danube due to its unilateral accession to the Danube River Conference of 1948.

Gapla's territory, including its internal waters, covers 0.83 km2 (205.3 ac), making it the fifth-smallest country in the world after Sealand, Duckionary, Vatican City, and Verdis. Gapla is approximately two-fifths the size of Monaco.
Economy
Bank of Gapla
Gapla has a free market, capitalist economy with minimal government regulation and protectionism, and emphasizes free trade. Gapla's official currency and sole legal tender is the Euro (symbol: €), which was adopted unilaterally by the Provisional Government in 2026. While the Euro holds tender status, Gaplans are permitted to use other currencies in place of the Euro.

Revenue
Gapla's revenue sources include the National Shop, citizenship contributions, and Gaplan book sales, although most of these books have been pulled out of print as they became increasingly outdated. Secondary sources of revenue include digitally-generated, printable stamps from the postal service and limited tourism to Greater Danubia, including tourist visas.

In 2026, the $GAPLA cryptocurrency raised over $46,000 USD for Gapla.

While noble title sales were historically one of Gapla's major revenue sources, the Provisional Government voted to cease noble title sales by the government in 2026, although holders of noble titles may still sell their titles to others.
</div>

Gapla's 2026 census reported that Gapla has 454 e-Residents and 70 citizens, with an e-Residency acceptance rate of 63.0% and an e-Residency applicant to citizenship acceptance rate of 9.7%. Gaplan citizens are 52.9% Asian (35.7% East Asian and 17.1% South Asian), 42.9% White (30.0% Caucasian, 5.7% Hispanic, 5.7% Middle Eastern, 1.4% Jewish), and 4.3% Multiracial (2.9% Wasian and 1.4% Other). 70.0% of Gaplan citizens are male (by sex), and 81.4% of citizens are 20 years of age or younger.

While Gapla retains some demographic elements of its founding and restoration in Southern California, its demographics have diversified to include greater numbers of white and male citizens compared to pre-Danubian Gapla due to online recruitment.

Demographics were not reported for e-Residents who are not Gaplan citizens.

Culture
Gapla's culture is characterized by a strong focus on innovation, evidence-based education, and merit, with progressive city planning components including carless cities and environmental protection as well as traditional European village architecture.

Despite its plans to be mostly carless, Gapla produces ceremonial license plates and vehicle registration certificates as souvenirs. They are also required to be used on government and emergency vehicles, the only motor vehicles allowed in Gapla. The cost of issuance for a license plate and vehicle registration is 50 USD, although purchasing only the license plate as a souvenir without formally registering a vehicle is possible.

While Gapla was founded and restored in Southern California, following the Danubian reformations and nonprofit initiatives in the region such as the Gaplan Representation Organization, it has increasingly incorporated Southeastern European culture as the proportion of citizens and e-Residents living near Greater Danubia have increased.

National holidays

Elections use ranked-choice voting, specifically single transferable vote. == Administrative divisions ==

</div>

The National Development Party (NDP) is a third positionist, conservative, and in part social corporatist political party in the Federated States of Gapla. The party was founded by Noyan Erel and Connor Klinkosch in 2026.

History
National Development Party (2026–present)
The party was founded by Noyan Erel in 2026 as the National Development Party (NDP).

Ideology and platform
Economic Policies

The party wants to support low taxes and a welcoming environment for foreign digital businesses, encouraging investment, innovation, and international commerce.

The party wants domestic businesses to operate within a social-corporatist framework, bringing employers, workers, and the state together to coordinate economic priorities, working conditions, and social protections.

Immigration and Citizenship

The party wants to divide the world into citizenship application regions, with a fair allocation of opportunities across those regions. It wants regional processing arrangements to prevent applications from high-volume regions from overwhelming the system or crowding out applicants from elsewhere. Individual applications would remain subject to clear eligibility requirements.

Social Policies

The party wants to guarantee the right to food, clean water, social security, religious freedom, education, and rest and leisure. These guarantees reflect its belief that a stable society has responsibilities toward all its members.

}}Connor Daniel Klinkosch (born 11 December 2007) is a Gaplan politician who was the 9th Deputy President of Gapla from 2024 to 2026 and is currently serving as the Governor of Cristus. He is currently a member of the Provisional Government, serving as the Minister of Internal Affairs.

In 2023, Klinkosch joined the Gaplan official Discord server as one of several representatives of the Kingdom of Cristus, then its own micronation, notifying the server that Gapla and Cristus had a territorial dispute. Following investigation by Gaplan authorities, it was revealed that there was no territorial dispute. However, it was discovered the territory claimed by Cristus was claimed by both Serbia and Croatia and was not terra nullius, as Klinkosch believed. Following further communications, Wyatt Baek proposed that Cristus join the Federated States of Gapla as a constituent state, and that New Apatin would be allocated to Cristus as its territory. Klinkosch signed the agreement, marking a major historical event in both Gaplan and Cristarian history.

Following Cristarian statehood in the Federated States of Gapla, Klinkosch became a prominent and influential figure in the Danubian reformations, aimed at transitioning Gapla from a traditional micronation to a new nation project on Greater Danubia. He founded the Righteous Reformist Party and is celebrated for integrating several of Cristus's former citizens and government officials into the Provisional Government. He is known for his skills in early settlement, architecture, and citizen recruitment. In 2026, he joined the Gaplan National Party following the National Renewal Party's split from the Righteous Reformist Party and the RRP's subsequent dissolution, but defected to the National Renewal Party. He later co-founded the National Development Party.

Elections use ranked-choice voting, specifically single transferable vote. == Administrative divisions ==

</div>

Gapla observes twelve national holidays.
