The Gapla Youth Advisory, commonly known by its acronym GYA, is a non-governmental organization established by the Provisional Government of Gapla on 17 June 2026. The goal of the organization is to promote political participation and youth engagement with the development and progression of the Federated States of Gapla as well as enhancing the voice of members of the Gaplan community aged 13–16.

History

The organization was an initiative proposed by Provisional Governor Ben Wallace of the Gapla Civic Party earlier in June 2026. After the Provisional Government voted in favor of the organization, the Gapla Youth Advisory was officially launched by an announcement on Gapla's official Discord server Gapla@Discord on the 17 June 2026.

Structure

The organization is officially directed by an adult appointed by the Provisional Government, however it is also actively managed and administered by several Provisional Governors which assisted in the establishment of the organization.

Members are responsible for electing a leadership body, consisting of a Chairperson, a Vice Chairperson and a Secretary, each with varying powers, responsibilites, and duties. Currently, these positions are vacant and the first election these positions is scheduled to be held on 24 June 2026.

To become a member of the organization, prospective members must submit an application in the Gapla Youth Advisory official Discord server that appears immediately after joining the server.

The only current requirement for membership is being aged 13–16 as well as being participating member of the Gaplan community.
