The Gapla Civic Party (GCP), founded as the Verdis National Party (VNP), is a centrist and civic nationalist political party in the Federated States of Gapla.

The party advocates civic participation, national unity, and moderate political reform.

History

The party was originally founded in the Free Republic of Verdis as the Verdis National Party. During its history in Verdis, the party participated in Verdisian politics and promoted policies based on civic nationalism and political moderation.

In 2026, following increasing dissatisfaction with the administration of Verdis, the party held an internal referendum regarding its future direction. The proposal to join the Federated States of Gapla was approved by approximately 74% of voting members. Following this decision, the party joined Gapla and became the Gapla Civic Party.

Ideology

The party is a centrist party that supports civic nationalism.

The party emphasizes citizenship, civic responsibility, democratic participation, and national development. The party has also expressed support for political cooperation with other moderate and reform-oriented movements.

Organization

The party is currently led by Collin Esposo along with an Executive Board (EB). Hendrik Täks is the President of Gapla. In 2026, two notable Gaplan politicians—Hendrik Täks, the President of Gapla, and Amalia Battle, a former independent politician and former President of Gapla—joined the party, giving the party representation in the Provisional Government.

EB members Collin Esposo and Ben Wallace were later admitted to the Provisional Government.

Representation

As of 2026, the Gapla Civic Party has four seats in the eight-member Provisional Government.

Platform

Agriculture and natural resources

The party supports sustainable agriculture and responsible stewardship of natural resources. It advocates for balanced regulation that protects the environment and preserves natural resources while avoiding unnecessary restrictions on agricultural businesses.

Arts, media, and culture

The party supports funding educational and public-interest media while maintaining independence and citizen focus to reduce government bias. It supports keeping important and educational media accessible to the public while leaving broader cultural participation to individual choice.

Social welfare and public assistance

The party supports social programs designed to ensure that no one is left behind due to illness, disability, unemployment, or hardship. In addition to financial assistance, it supports targeted programs providing essential goods and services, including hygiene products, child support initiatives, and early-life assistance programs. The party also supports community-driven solutions, nonprofit partnerships, and donation-based initiatives.

Local and community development

The party supports community-focused government that prioritizes the people, land, and society of Gapla over excessive corporate or foreign influence. It believes local communities should lead development where possible, while the central government maintains national consistency, fairness, and accountability.

Constitution and governance

The party supports fair, transparent, and citizen-focused governance. It advocates for limits on corporate and outside financial influence in politics, including restrictions on political donations and sponsorships that undermine equal representation and public trust. The party supports secure national voter registration, expanded early voting, secure mail and absentee voting, accessible polling locations, transparent vote counting, independent election oversight, and public transparency of campaign financing and political spending.
