Amalia "Rosie" Battle Cordova (born 27 December 2008) is a Gaplan politician and entrepreneur who has served as the 4th President of Gapla from 2025 to 2026 and as the 10th Deputy President of Gapla between 2024 and 2026. She is currently a member of the Provisional Government, serving as the Minister of Public Relations.

During her tenure as Minister of Public Relations, she has made significant advancements in public relations, using her prior experience to help the country grow its press coverage, social media presence, and citizen engagement. She has also serves as a senior trustee in the Gaplan Representation Organization.

Personal life

Cordova was born in Manhattan, New York and was raised in Boulder, Colorado. She attended Mackintosh Academy, a private K–8 school in Littleton, Colorado. As a second grader at Mackintosh, she placed in the top ten nationally at the Creative Communication poetry contest with her poem The Elements of Nature.[1] In 2017, she was featured on local news after her toy "Budderball" was repaired by a local repairman.[2]

She transferred to Astra Nova School for middle school, an online school co-founded by Elon Musk on the campus of SpaceX and described by the Washington Post as probably the "most exclusive school in the world," with an acceptance rate of approximately 3%.

After graduating from Astra Nova, she enrolled at Stanford Online High School, where she founded the Anime Club and held leadership positions in several other clubs. Her personal achievements include successfully securing $80,000 in funding for a startup, designing pitches and products for artificial intelligence and virtual reality businesses, and having her ideas showcased at the World Economic Forum.

Political career

At Stanford OHS, she learned about Gapla through her classmate Wyatt Baek. She became a Gaplan citizen in 2024, and a few months later was admitted to the Provisional Government as the Minister of Public Relations.

In 2025, she became Deputy President of Gapla following Connor Klinkosch's resignation, and became President of Gapla a few months later following Chelsea Chen's resignation, marking one of the fastest rises in Gaplan government. In 2025, she became the Princess of Emeralkia following her purchase of the title, and held an interview about Gapla with Sofia Tissen, a researcher at the University of Mainz.

In 2026, she won the 2026 Gaplan presidential election in a surprise landslide victory, but later resigned in favor of Hendrik Täks to focus on public relations.

Political positions

A long-term independent politician, Cordova was not affiliated with any political party until 2026 and is described as a centrist, depolarizing figure in the Provisional Government. She has made few public statements on her views on politics, but has stated that she is opposed to race-based affirmative action in admissions.

She has made statements that have been interpreted as Gaplan nationalist or imperialist, although she has claimed that they were a "joke" and not serious.

When asked about a possible political party affiliation in 2024, she stated that her political positions were closest to the Grand Rightist Party and the People's Liberal Party, the major center-right and center-left political parties at the time. In 2025, after Connor Klinkosch asked her to join the Righteous Reformist Party, she declined, but stated that she would look into the party and its beliefs.

In 2026, she joined the Gapla Civic Party.
