The Gapla Youth Advisory, commonly referred to by it's abbreviation (the) GYA, is a non-governmental organization esablished by the Provisional Government of the Federated States of Gapla in June 2026 with the intention of promoting youth engagement with the development and progress of the country and is intended for people aged 13-16.

History

The organization was an initiative proposed by provisional government member Ben Wallace of the Gapla Civic Party earlier in the month of June 2026, which the provisional government voted in favour but the amount of votes for and against are unknown. The organization officially launched via an announcement on Gapla's official Discord server on the 17th of June 2026.

Structure

The organization is officially directed by an adult appointed by the provisional government, however it is also actively managed and administered by several provisional government members which assisted in the establishment of the organization.

The body of members is responsible for electing a leadership body, consisting of a Chairperson, a Vice-Chairperson and a Secretary respectively, each with varying powers, responsibilites and duties. Currently these positions are vacant and the first election for all 3 of these positions is scheduled to be held on the 24th of June 2026.

To become a member of the organization you have to apply via the Gapla Youth Advisory official Discord server, the application form appearing upon the initaition of joining. The only requirement currently is being aged 13-16 and a participating member of the Gaplan community.
