The Gaplan Representation Organization, commonly referred to by its acronym GRO, is a non-governmental organization sponsored by the Federated States of Gapla. The organization's goal is to support ethnic reconcilation, self-determination, and responsible policing in Southeast Europe, in line with Gapla's interests, principles, and values.

It was founded in 2025 by Wyatt Baek, and currently has no president. The organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization registered in the U.S. state of California, and plans to register as a nonprofit in Estonia, a member state of the European Union. It currently has 5 members, 3 of whom are on the board of trustees.

History

Membership

The GRO has three glasses of membership: senior trustees, junior trustees, and interns. Senior trustees and junior trustees are members of the Board of Trustees of the Gaplan Representation Organization, which governs the organization.

Interns are selected through a non-competitive application process, where the vast majority of online applications submitted are accepted. Interns are automatically promoted to junior trustees once they accumulate 100 points and become Gaplan citizens. Attending a meeting of the GRO awards 5 points, assisting on a project awards 20 points, referring a new intern to the organization awards 20 points, and leading a project (while such a task is very rarely assigned to an intern) awards 50 points.

All members (with the exception of Chelsea Chen, Wyatt Baek, and Rosie Cordova, who start as senior trustees) start as interns. At any GRO meeting, any member of the Board of Trustees may nominate a junior trustee, including themselves, for promotion. If a majority of the senior trustees vote in favor of a promotion, the junior trustee is promoted to a senior trustee.

The President of the Gaplan Representation Organization is elected annually by the Board of Trustees on 18 June. At the founding of the organization, Chelsea Chen was appointed as president. Any senior trustee may become a candidate for the presidency.
