Legacy Gaplan

In the Federated States of Gapla, a legacy Gaplan or a legacy citizen is a notable Gaplan citizen who is no longer active in Gaplan politics, particularly following the Danubian reformations of 2023, which transformed Gapla from a traditional micronation to a new country project by the Danube. Notable examples include Emma Bunnell and Renaldo Chang.

Many legacy Gaplans joined Gapla from the Alternative Program for Academically Advanced Students (APAAS) at Deerfield Elementary School, where Gapla was founded. However, not all legacy Gaplans are from the APAAS program, and some Gaplan citizens from the APAAS program (such as Wyatt Baek and Chelsea Chen) are still active following the Danubian reformations.

The term was coined by Wyatt Baek in 2025 and was inspired by Rosie Cordova's suggestion of "heritage Gaplan" in a meeting of the Provisional Government which addressed the issue of legacy Gaplan politicans, offices, and history.
