The Provisional Government, officially the Council of Ministers and formerly the Nationbuilding Council, is the Federated States of Gapla's de facto government. Founded on 20 October 2023 in response to the Danubian reformations, the Provisional Government replaced Gapla's former government on 31 January 2024.
Its members are called ministers or provisional governors, and are selected competitively through an online application open to all Gaplan citizens. The application includes several essay questions, an optional standardized test, and an interview for those selected as finalists. Members are admitted through a majority vote in the Provisional Government, and approximately 40% of applicants are ultimately admitted.
The Provisional Government meets weekly to discuss settlement, infrastructure, press, public relations, law, and the Gaplan Representation Organization (GRO).
