The President of Gapla, officially the President of the Federated States of Gapla, is the head of government of the Federated States of Gapla. While the president is widely considered the de facto head of state, the Prince of the Danubias serves as the official head of state in his capacity as the Sovereign Prince of Gapla.

According to current plans for post-settlement government, the President will hold a term of one year and will be directly elected in annual general elections. However, within the current pre-settlement Provisional Government, the President is elected annually by members of the Provisional Government in their capacity as the sole governing authority of the country before the inauguration of a constitution following settlement.

The office is limited to one holder. However, an assistant head of government, the Deputy President of Gapla, shares some of the duties of the head of government.
